Therapy for Anxiety, Burnout, and Cultural Identity in Tacoma, WA

You're the capable one, which means no one thinks to ask if you're okay. You're holding expectations in one hand and your own needs in the other, and you're not sure how much longer you can. Slowing down doesn't feel like relief, it feels like falling behind.

You look like you have it together and in a lot of ways, you do. But you’re tired in a way you can’t quite explain to anyone around you. Maybe you stay up an hour later than you should- not because you’re not tired, but because it’s the only hour that’s actually yours. Maybe you’ve spent so long putting other people’s needs first that your guilt kicks in the moment you consider doing something just for you. Maybe you’re working hard to hold your own in rooms that were never quite built with you in mind.

At Optimum Balance, I offer therapy for anxiety, burnout, and the quieter kinds of struggling that don’t always have a name. Many of my clients are driven, first- or second-generation professionals, or navigating multiple worlds at once- people who are better at solving other people’s problems than their own.

Together, we’ll work on building a life that feels like yours - not just the one you’ve been performing.

Hi, I’m Dr. Sareeta Beeram (she/her), a licensed clinical psychologist based in Tacoma, WA providing Telehealth therapy across PSYPACT states.

I know firsthand what it’s like to navigate more than one cultural world, and I bring that into this work- so you won't have to start from the beginning explaining certain aspects of your life. My approach is evidence-based, collaborative and practical.

What we work on:

  • Anxiety that looks like ambition from the outside

  • People-pleasing rooted in cultural expectations you never got to question

  • Burnout that no one around you can see because you're still showing up

I built this practice around experiences I understand from the inside out: the pressure to excel, the weight of family expectations, and the quiet exhaustion that hides behind a successful life.

You can expect to feel genuinely met here- not managed. I’ll bring honesty, curiosity, and real investment in what you’re working toward. We won’t just explore what’s hard- we’ll bring real skills to shift it, because understanding yourself is only useful if it translates into something real. You’ll be invited to stretch, because I think you’re capable of more than white-knuckling it.

Therapy for anxiety and burnout in Tacoma, WA - three friends celebrating outdoors

Therapy for anxiety — and the burnout, perfectionism, and pressure that usually come with it — isn’t about rehashing your entire history or being handed a list of things to fix. It’s a place to slow down, get honest about what’s actually going on, and start building something that feels more sustainable and more like you.

You've spent a long time being the one who figures it out. This is the one place where you don't have to.

A lot of people who find their way to therapy have spent a long time thinking they should be able to handle things on their own. They’re smart, capable, and used to figuring things out, which is exactly why asking for help can feel so uncomfortable.

You don’t have to earn the right to feel good.

But there’s a difference between coping and actually feeling okay. And if you’ve been carrying the weight of everything for long enough, it might be worth exploring what it would feel like to set some of it down.
